Anonymous FTP
Anonymous File Transfer Protocol (FTP) enables anyone to download files from a FTP server. This allows users without accounts to access files by entering the username anonymous, along with their email address as a password. Because anyone can access files that have been set up for anonymous FTP, Webmasters need to be careful to use it only for files meant for public consumption.
