Open Directory Project The ODP is the largest human edited directory available.  Editors volunteer to edit within the categories in which the directory is made up.  You can read more about submitting your site and the guidelines in which editors will use to determine if the submitted site meets the requirements.  You can also volunteer to become an editor.  The directory data is used by numerous search engines with the most popular user being Google's version of the directory.
